Francine Maree Pearson, 82, of East Moline, IL, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Bickford Cottage Assisted Living, Davenport, IA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Calvary Lutheran Church, 2900 Avenue of the Cities, Moline.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline.  Burial will be at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal.  Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church or to the Alzheimer’s Association in Davenport, IA.

Francine was born on March 16, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Hilding V. and Hattie M. Franzen Pearson.  She married Robert Lee Pearson (no name change!) on June 24, 1961, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Moline, where she was an active member for many years.

She worked for several years at the former Augustana Book Concern in Rock Island until she became a full time homemaker and an Army wife.  She moved 13 times during those years, thoroughly enjoying her 2 years in Thailand and 4 years in Germany.  She returned to East Moline in 1989 when her husband was assigned to Rock Island Arsenal.  She enjoyed her family, friends, and crafting.  She was very skilled at picture framing.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Robert; sons, Dean (Lisa) H. Pearson, Irvine, CA, and Neal A. Pearson, Moline, IL; 2 grandchildren, Allison and Amy Pearson, Irvine, CA; 2 sisters, Karen A. Luebbers, Wheaton, IL, and Lynne C. Pearson Smith, Aston, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Dawn Junker.
