Gary Buck

Gary Lee Buck, 80, of Moline, passed away, Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.

Graveside services for both Gary and his wife, Carol, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Rock Island National Cemetery where military honors will be performed.  Anyone wishing to attend the graveside service will meet at Esterdahl Mortuary, Moline, IL on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 1:45 p.m. for procession to the cemetery.

Gary was born on July 14, 1942, in Pendleton, OR, the son of Lee Buck and Nelma Hanlon. Gary served in the United States Navy. He married Carol Estes on August 2, 1975, at the Queen City Christian Church in Missouri. Gary loved being outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and playing golf. He enjoyed all kinds of car racing and even participated in some himself. Gary’s biggest joy in life was being with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Olivia (Eric) Kulick and Alana (Andrew) Thiebes; grandchildren, Luke, Cody, Cameron, and Bella; mother-in-law, Norma Mullins; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and father-in-law, Roy Estes.
