Gary Lee Foster, age 63, of Muscatine, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home after a brief illness.
Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Anyone wishing to attend the service should meet at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline.
Gary was a Vietnam veteran who faithfully served his country in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army, retiring from the Army in 1983.
Gary is fondly remembered by his wife Rose Foster (Muscatine, IA), and uncle, Gerald Burroughs (Pickerington, OH) and numerous cousins, his brothers David (Davenport, IA) and Jon (Sherrard, Il), his daughter Felicia Foster (Rock Island, IL) and two granddaughters, Brittany (Rhode Island) and Anastasia (Lithuania).
