Gary Duane Marti

Gary Duane Marti, 86, of Taylor Ridge, passed away April 5, 2025, at his home.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday April 12, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. The burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, with military honors to be conducted. Memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established. Gary was born on June 21, 1938, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Merlin C. and Almeda R. (Morris) Marti. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Navy. He married Donna M. Stevens on August 28, 1982, in Milan. She preceded him in death on March 2, 2021. Gary had been employed as a truck driver with Eagle Food Centers in Milan, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed boating, golfing, and fishing with his grandkids when they were younger. He also liked to watch western movies and cheer for the Green Bay Packers. Above all, Gary enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.

Survivors include his children, Danny Marti of Ft. Lauderdale, Angela Anderson of Rock Island, Jennifer Arnold of Davenport; grandchildren, Austin Fuller, Kevin Hatfield, Brooklynn Arnold, Caleb Riley, Zach Riley, Haley Allen, Kari Borgman, and Desiree Housby; great grandchild, Luna; sister, Janet (Earl) Harried, Verona, Wisconsin; brother, Bill (Diane) Marti, Florida; son-in-law, Tony Riley; daughter-in-law, Vicky Marti.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Judy Marti and Donna Marti; children, Jim Marti and Debbie Riley; brothers Lyle Marti and Allen Marti; and best friend, Ken Kaiser.
