Geneva L. Bowman, 75, of Orion died January 12, 2007 at Trinity at Terrace Park, hospice unit, Bettendorf.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2007 with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Swedona Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home from 12-3 p.m. Burial will be in Swedona Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to her family.
Geneva was born March 5, 1931 in Moline to Maurice and Mary (Marsh) Parker. She married Donald L. Bowman on April 15, 1961 in Galesburg, IL. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2006.
Geneva was a waitress at Skyline where she was well known as "Speedy". She also owned and operated the Gun Club and the Green Acres Motel and Restaurant. She had also managed the Lucky 8 kitchen.
Geneva was a Moline High School graduate. She dedicated her time to Orion VFW in several offices, kitchen dinners and function. She loved to travel the Mississippi Valley Coon Hunter's Circuit with her husband. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially at family barbecues.

She was preceded in death by her three brothers Frank, James and Donald Parker, three infant siblings, son-in-law William Hanson and two great grandsons Kenneth and Nathaniel.
