Gerald L. Dorcey

Gerald L. Dorcey, 76, of Moline, passed away, April 12, 2025, at Celebrate of Moline.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Cremation rites will be accorded after services. Memorials may be made to Fort Armstrong, Rock Island.

Gerald was born on May 3, 1948, in Moline, IL, the son of Gordon and Beatrice (Tusler) Dorcey. He worked as a janitor for the Sammy G Fargo Bowling Alley, before retiring in 2013. Gerald enjoyed golfing, bowling, roller skating, and watching wrestling.

Survivors include his sister, Sandra (Steven) Mettee; niece, Cassie (Chad) Johnson; nephew, Michael Hayes; great niece, Amber (Joe) Ward; great nephew, Brett (Justine) Johnson; great-great nieces and nephews, Sofia Ward, Ethan Ward, Harper Johnson, and baby Johnson on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Penny Dorcey.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped Jerry throughout his life, especially his former neighbors in Moline, Fort Armstrong in Rock Island, Celebrate of Moline, Transitions Hospice Care, and Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd.
