Geraldine "Gerry" P. Kron

Geraldine “Gerry” P. Kron, 94, of Moline, died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at UnityPoint – Trinity West, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, January 12, 2018, at Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, 1201 13th St, Moline. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church.
Gerry was born on October 3, 1923, in Moline, the daughter of Marion E. and Emeline E. Larson Hartman. She married Glen C. Kron on November 22, 1947. He preceded her in death on December 4, 2010. She was a homemaker.
Gerry was an active member of Bethel Wesley United Methodist Church, Moline, where she served as secretary, Sunday school teacher, and Editor of the church news letter. She was active in the Garfield Elemtary School P.T.A., serving as President. Gerry also volunteered at Trinity Medical Center and was involved with the King’s Daughters.
Survivors include her children, James (Rebecca) Kron, Moline, Mark Kron, Florida, Nancy (Neal) Lohuis, Florida, Jay Kron, Moline; daughter in-law, Gloria Kron-Sels, Moline; grandchildren, Katie (Matt) Stott, Susan (Matt) McAndrew, Mark Lohuis, Kevin Kron, Abbey Kron; six great grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Kron; granddaughter, Ashley Kron; infant grandson, baby boy Lohuis; and brother, Gene Hartman.
