Gertrude E.M. Lundholm, 92 of Rock Island died June 30, 2005 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2005 at Memorial Park, Rock Island. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at First Lutheran Church, Moline. Memorials may be made to Augustana College, First Lutheran Church, Moline, Holden Village or Mosaic Foundation. Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gertrude was born April 14, 1913 in Stanton, IA to Gothard E. and Maria Eleonora Levine Ossian. She married Brynolf E.Lundholm on December 28, 1945 at First Lutheran Church, Moline. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1984.
Gertrude taught elementary school in Stanton, IA and special education at the state school in Glenwood, IA. Later she taught at Longfellow School for the Rock Island School district.
Gertrude was a 40 plus year volunteer at Holden Village in Chelan, WA. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church and the Endowment Society at Augustana.
