Gilbert A. "Bud" Graham, 89, of Rock Island, IL, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL, after an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rock Island Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to South Park Presbyterian Church or to First Presbyterian Church in Coal Valley.
Gilbert was born on April 13, 1924, in Moline, IL, the son of Arthur C. and Mary M. (Gilbert) Graham. He married Lorraine Mason. He later married Alice (Anderson) Hunter on November 14, 1992, in Rock Island.
Bud graduated in the Class of 1942 from Rock Island High School. He worked for Bear Manufacturing in Rock Island for 30 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of South Park Presbyterian Church for 70 years. Bud was a member of +60 Club and loved traveling with his wife throughout the U.S. and Canada. He loved music and belonged to the Catfish Jazz Society. He enjoyed listening to talking books and Cubs games on the radio and was an avid Cubs and White Sox fan. Bud was a Coca-Cola memorabilia collector.
