Gilberto Gallardo-Garcia, 49, of East Moline, passed away Sunday January 19, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family after battling cancer for the last year.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday January 25, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday January 24, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, with the Rosary to be recited at 3:30 p.m. Cremation rites will follow services.
Gilberto was born on October 6, 1975, in Guanajuato, Mexico, the son of Cirilo and Audelia Gallardo. He married Gloria Rivera in October of 1998. He spent 30 years working at Tyson Foods Inc. diligently. He was a self-made handyman who enjoyed improving the house he built with his own two hands. Gilberto was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Moline and was involved in TEC.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Rivera; his son, Andy (Yaleska) Gallardo; his daughters, Zully, Glory and Kelly Gallardo; and his brothers and sisters, José (Ana) Gallardo, Margarita (José) Perez, Cirilo Jr. (Cuca) Gallardo, Alfredo (Olivia) Gallardo, Luz (Alfredo) Hernandez, Teresa (Rigo) Munoz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cirilo and Audelia; and grandparents, Cirilo and Carmen Gallardo.
