Virginia "Ginny" Mae Robertson, 46, of Pleasant Valley, Iowa, passed away very peacefully in her sleep on August 23, 2009 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, after a very courageous 2 ? year battle with lung cancer.
There will be a "Celebration of Ginny's Life" on September 5 at her house for friends and family starting at 3 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
Ginny was born on January 23, 1963 in Moline, to Robert and Janice Wisher Bertram. She attended Moline High School. She married Larry A Baxter on July 14, 1979. They had two children. She later married James G. Robertson on July 5, 1991. He preceded her in death in 2004.
Ginny enjoyed many things in life. When she was young she loved riding her mini bike and building forts with Jeff. Throughout the years there was woodcarving, sewing, crocheting, cooking, poetry, drawing, fishing, gardening, softball and shot-put in school. She loved nature's beauty and sunrises and sunsets. Halloween was her favorite holiday. She dressed up every year. She loved spending time with Dylan and was inspired and amazed by him every day.
Ginny was always busy at work or busy working on something. She met many wonderful friends along the way and loved working with them and seeing them everyday.
She is survived by

Robert "Hank" (Sue) Jackson

She will always be remembered and greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
