Glenn W. Reid, 84, of Moline died May 5, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Crossroad Christian Center Assembly of God, East Moline where he was a member.
Glenn was born July 5, 1923 in Moline to Glenn L. and Florence M.(Williams) Reid. He married Alice Brady in 1947 in Missouri. She preceded him in death in 1973. He married Marjorie L. Anderson on November 23, 1974 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on March 8, 2008.
Glenn worked at John Deere Plow Planter Works, Moline for 35 years retiring as a supervisor in 1981.
Glenn was a WWII Navy veteran serving as a machinist mate 2nd class. He was a member of Moline American Legion Post #246 for over 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was a former member of the John Deere Golf League.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Albert DeBeane and his grandsons A. J. Walker who died in September of 2007 in Iraq and Benjamin Maring.
