Gloria (Sells) Hoyt

Gloria Hoyt, 93, of Moline, Illinois passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa.

A funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Avenue, Moline.  Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 at the church.  Interment will follow at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal.  Memorials may be made to the church.

Gloria was born on March 8, 1927 in Rock Island to Fred H and Anna Hofeldt Sells.  She married Richard V. Hoyt on October 4, 1947 in Rock Island.  He preceded her in death on September 23, 1983.

Gloria was a proud homemaker.  She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where she was very active.  She loved her church but above all was her love of family.

She is survived by her children:  Dawn (Scott) Butler, Farmington, IA, Kathleen Hoyt, Moline, IL, Richard V. (Lynn) Hoyt Jr. Moline, IL

Grandchildren:  Brianne (Eric) Janovjak, Eli (Katy) Sirois, Jacqueline (Scott) Dudzinski, Ricky (Haleigh) Hoyt, Brooke Butler and Blake Butler

Great grandchildren: Ryker, Graham, Lilly, Kayla, Elijah, Emma, Anya, Olivia, Marissa, Ava, Sophia, and Frankie Jo

Sister:  Joyce Gast, Louisville, KY

Many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sisters, Dolores and Shirley Ann.
