Grace A. Kaiser, 106, of Rock Island, IL, formerly of Edgington, IL, died Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Friendship Manor, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Edgington Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Edgington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church of which she was a member.
Grace was born on January 8, 1908, in Ladd, IL, the daughter of Perry and Flossie (Reynolds) Bartram. She married Elmer Kaiser on July 8, 1929, in Moline, and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1992.
Grace and her husband owned and operated Edgington Food & Locker from 1955 through 2000 until their retirement. She made dance costumes for Joleen Dance Studio in Moline and was a bookkeeper for West Clock in Peru, IL. Grace enjoyed oil painting, cooking, and baking pies and cakes. She especially loved traveling with her family after her retirement.
