Grant A. Briggs, age 92, of Moline, died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family.
Grant was born May 30, 1917 in Detroit, MI, the son of Fred and Mary (Rooney) Briggs. He married Hazel M. Bolinger Gunderson on December 7, 1979 in Moline. She preceded him in death on November 27, 1990.
Grant was employed as a shipping clerk for Sterling Products for 15 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the Svithoid Club, Vikings Club and AARP.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Gerald R. Briggs, 6 brothers & 2 sisters.
