Dr. Guy K. Dice, age 87, of Coal Valley, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Private family services will be held. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Moline is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center, 724 West 2nd Avenue, Milan, Illinois.
Guy was born February 12, 1923 in Chicago, IL the son of Guy K. and Mrytle (Paxson) Dice, Sr. He married Madalynne Hendee on December 30, 1983.
Guy was a medical doctor for John Deere & Company, retiring in 1984. He graduated from the University of Iowa and the University of Illinois, Chicago- Circle Campus. Guy was a member of The RHO CHI Society (Pharmaceutical Honor Society). Guy was an army veteran serving in WWII. He was an avid reader and had an enormous collection of inspirational books. Guy loved nature and all its animals, especially dogs. He was a music lover, particularly golden oldies and jazz. Guy loved his family and friends.
