Hari P. Kandel

Hari P. Kandel, 77, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at UnityPoint Health, Trinity Bettendorf.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. with a visitation from 2-4 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave., Moline. Cremation rites will follow services.

Hari was born on February 26, 1941 in Gulmi, Nepal, the son of Bhim and Tika Poudel Kandel.  He was married to Oma D. Khanal Kandel.

He was a very kind, honest, and heartwarming personality.  He loved to read and be around his kids, and grandkids.  Being honest, positive, and content are values that he carried all his life, and have become his family’s guiding principle.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Oma; four daughters, Amrita (Krishna) Lamsal, Pabitra (Mahendra) Basnet, Dikshya (Bishnu) Bhusal, and Divya (Abinav) Bhattarai; two sons, Khem (Puja) Kandel and Deepesh (Richa) Kandel; grandchildren, Kritesh (Namuna), Lena (Ankit), Avash, Muskan, Kritisha, Muhan, Riya, Efreen, Krispen, Kayosh, Myra, and Joon.
