Harold Worman, 89, of Rock Island, died Friday, August 3, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
In accordance with Harold's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no memorial or funeral service. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Harold was born December 2, 1917 in Clarence, MO to Sene and Anne Lee (Smith) Worman. He married Dorothy R. Epperly on November 1, 1941 in Canton, MO.
Harold served in the military from April 1941 to July 1945. He started his service in the Red Bull 34th Infantry Division transferring into the 205th Military Police serving under General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
He retired from the Rock Island Post Office in January of 1979 as Supervisor of Mail.
He was a member of the Milan American Legion, a 50 years member of Trio Lodge #57, and a 50 year member of the Free Mason 32nd degree Ancient Scottish Rite Consistory.
