Harvey Brockett, 80, of Rock Island, left this Earth for his eternal home on August 14, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 at Edgewood Baptist Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Trinity Pathway Hospice or Edgewood Baptist Church where he had been a member for over 50 years.
Harvey was born September 6, 1926 in Campo, CO to Oliver and Zona Velma Brockett. He married Wathena Broyles on August 2, 1947 in Springfield, MO.
Harvey was employed for 32 years at ALCOA retiring in 1989 as a crane operator. He was a member of the ALCOA retirees and a member of the ALCOA 25 year club.
Harvey enjoyed gardening and canning, and spending time with his family.
