Hazel W. Bracken, 92, of Crosstown Square, Silvis died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
A memorial service to honor her life will be Saturday, August 4, at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior at First United Presbyterian Church 801-16th St., Moline and burial will be in Alexis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
She was born October 18, 1914 in Stahl, MO to James and Nellie Scobee. She had two sister and two brothers, they are all deceased. She married Chuck Grabosch and they lived in Alexis until his sudden death on January 7, 1959. She married Samuel Bracken in 1967 and they lived near Branson, MO. He died in 1994.
Hazel was a Cafeteria Manager at Alexis High School, but most of all loved being a homemaker and was a great cook. She was an expert seamstress and was always altering a garment.

She got so much joy watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren mature. She was HAZEL THE GREAT to them.
