Helen M. Clayton, 88, of Moline, died October 7, 2009 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct.12, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Shriner's Children's Hospital.
Helen was born July 15, 1921 in Moline to Olaf and Laura (Linden) Nelson. She married Horace W. Clayton on September 9, 1951 in Richmond, IN. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1994.
Helen was employed at Moline Forge Inc. for 44 years. At the time of her retirement she held the position of corporate secretary. She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, doing jigsaw puzzles, and making Christmas cookies.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including local niece and caregiver
