Helen F. Evans, 94, formerly of Moline, IL died Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross Relief Fund or Wildwood Baptist Church Missionary Fund.
Helen was born on April 11, 1917 in Moline, IL the daughter of Tony and Cecelia (Cernoch) Fusic. She married Ralph Steven Evans on October 24, 1937 in Silvis, IL. He preceded her in death on July 7, 2008. Helen was a 75 year member of Western Fraternal Life and a 50 year charter member of the Holiday Rambler Traveling Club. She and her husband enjoyed traveling extensively. They also enjoyed boating, camping, and spending their winters in Florida. Helen completed sewing courses, was an avid seamstress, and loved knitting, crocheting, and crafts. Helen was an awesome mother, cook, and baker.
