Helen "Nanny" Howard, 83, of Moline, IL, crossed over to be with Jesus on Monday, December 9, 2013, at her home surrounded by loved ones.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Spirit Church.
Helen was born on February 23, 1930, in Guin, AL, the daughter of William Rance and Vertie Lenore (Guin) Perry. She married her one and only love, Austin E. Howard, on November 24, 1947, in Guin, AL.
In her earlier years, Helen enjoyed cooking and attending Holy Spirit Church.
Helen was a strong woman of God and a faithful prayer warrior. She was a true lady and the glue that held her family together. Family was her life and her home was open to all of God's children. She lived to help people in any way she could and never missed an opportunity to share what Jesus Christ had done for her and her family.

Great Grandchildren Nick, Brock, Jack, Aliyah, Kane, Vanessa, Ryder, Michael, Sofia, Hannah, and Sam.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughters, Brenda McKinney and Tanya Howard; grandson, Jade Smilgis.
