Helen Little

Helen M.Little, age 93, of Moline, died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Bickford Cottage, Moline.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is Friday from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church in Moline or The Rock Island County Humane Society.
Helen was born September 22, 1917 in Moline, the daughter of Carl W. and Josephine E. (Ogren) Hellstrom.
She married John W. Little, Sr. in 1947 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2000.
Helen was employed as a cashier at the Eagle Food Store in East Moline for 30 years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Moline. Helen was also a member of the volunteer auxiliary at Moline Public Hospital, Lutheran Hospital and later at Trinity Hospital for over 20 years. She enjoyed bird watching, doing anything out doors and she was especially proud of her geraniums. Helen especially loved listening to Big Band music, and was very proud of her Swedish heritage.
