Helen Haug Werth

Helen Haug Werth, age 91, of Mundelein, IL, formerly of Rock Island, went peacefully to be with her Lord on December 30, 2009 after a brief illness at Lake Forest Hospital, Lake Forest, IL
Celebration of her life will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2010 at First Evangelical Free Church, Moline. Visitation is from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Sunday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials preferred to FEBC, Far East Broadcasting Company, P.O.Box 1 La Mirada, CA 90637
Helen was born February 21, 1918 in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Karl and Amelia (Olsen) Haug. She married Royal E. Werth on September 17, 1938 in Aberdeen, SD. Royal preceded her in death on May 25, 1992.
Helen grew up in Groton, SD and graduated from Groton High School. She was a member of First Evangelical Free Church in Moline where she taught Sunday school for 40 years.
SURVIVORS
Daughters Carol & Alan Hillis, Missionaries in Venezuela; Louise & Harry Swanson St. Paul, MN; Susan Croumer, Elizabethtown, PA; Julie Werth, Mundelein, IL; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother Roy Haug, Colorado Springs, CO; and close friend Ken Dickson, Mundelein, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, brothers, and son-in-law.
