Hermelinda "Linda" (Guerrero) Rodriguez

Hermelinda “Linda” G. Rodriguez, 100, of Moline passed away at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island on Friday, July 21, 2023.

A funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. in Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to the family.

Linda was born on April 13, 1923 in Fresnillo, Mexico the daughter of Pedro and Natalia Sanchez Guerrero.  She married Cliofas Rodriguez on July 2, 1955 and he preceded her in death.

Linda was employed as a line worker with the Fresh Pack Candy Company in both Moline and Davenport until June 30, 1989.  She was a member of the Jehovah Witness Spanish Congregation of Moline.  She enjoyed her flower gardens and cooking.  Linda loved to read the bible and teach it to others.  Above all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her children; Isabel Montanez of Chicago, Donna Etheridge Knittle (Joe Knittle) Of Moline, Janet (Dan) Freisinger of Silvis, Cleo (Dale) Smiddy of Carbon Cliff, and Jose “Joe” (Char) Rodriguez of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; 14 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, son and daughter-in-law, Mark Rodriguez (Debbie Cunningham), son-in-law, Cruz Montanez, a grandson, Nathan Etheridge and 3 brothers, Rogaciano, Delfino and Ernesto.
