Howard C. DeCausemaker, 89 of Moline died October 7, 2004 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2004 with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. In lieu of flowers and statuary, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Howard was born December 3, 1914 in Moline to John and Alta VanHoek DeCausemaker. He married Berniece Milam and later Wilma Sommers.
Howard was a meat cutter for Eagle Food and later worked as a security guard. He was employed at Eagle Food for 35 years, retiring in 1979.
Howard was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of the Chicago Meat Cutters and also a member of the Rock Island Police Association. He was a Cubs fan and liked to watch boxing on the television. He enjoyed visitors and spending time with his family.
