Howard K. Dunn, 80 of Moline went to be with his Lord on March 15, 2006.
A Celebration of Life will be held 10a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave. Moline. Rev. Christian H. Meyer will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Military honors will be conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline or Disabled American Veterans.
Howard was born June 21, 1925 in Kewanee, IL to Kenneth and Emilie (Despain) Dunn. He married Eulalia M. Orr on October 30, 1949.
Howard worked as an assembler for the former John Deere Plow Planter for 35 years. He retired in 1983.
Howard was a WWII Army veteran where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. He was a member of the East Moline American Legion Post #227 and the UAW #234. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. Howard was a fan of all sports especially an avid Cub fan.
