Hulda Abbie Miller

April 12, 1914 — April 25, 2012

Hulda Abbie Miller, 98, of Lantern Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in
Coralville, Iowa went to be with her Heavenly Father on
April 25, 2012. She was welcomed by her loving husband, Vearl
(1998) and many family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Moline.
Hulda Abbie David was born on April 12, 1914 in Durham,
Kansas, one of ten children. She married Vearl Miller on
May 22, 1933 in McPherson, Kansas. She traveled with him
throughout the Midwest while he worked for the Rock Island
Railroad. They eventually came to Silvis, Illinois in the
early 1950's.
She was a long time member of Silvis Heights Baptist
Church where she taught Sunday School for many years and
served as a deaconess. Most recently she was a member of
First Baptist Church in Moline. She enjoyed crocheting,
collecting Precious Moments, dolls and bears.
She is survived by her niece Carolyn Perry (Roy) of Fort
Myers, Florida, and her grandniece and grandnephews, Lynn (Jim) Grafton, Silvis, Dean (Molly) Perry, Buffalo, MN, and Dwight (Lisa) Perry, Camanche, IA, and niece Nancy Harney (Ernie Stoppelmoor) of
Solon, Iowa. She has many other nieces
and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand
nieces and nephews throughout the United States.
She was preceded in death by many family members and dear
friends.
