Irene M. Carpenter, age 85, of Colona, died Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. Visitation is an hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Irene was born April 15, 1925 in Brownsburg, Quebec, Canada, the daughter of Emmanuel and Lydia (Drouin) Racine. She married Thomas Carpenter on October 11, 1947 in Brownsburg, Quebec, Canada.
Irene was a member of Calvary Church of the Quad Cities. She enjoyed word puzzles, crocheting, knitting and baking.
