Irene M. Goard, lovingly known by her family as "Nanny", 81, East Moline, IL went home to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday, January 9, 2010.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Private family services will be held the next day at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose-Lawn Memorial Estates, Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Irene was born in Edmonton, KY on March 14, 1928 to Payne and Alice (Wilcurt) Hurt.
Irene worked at the East Moline Maid Rite for 20 years. She loved Wii Bowling, and was so proud of her perfect 300 score. She also loved vacationing, keeping in touch with her family by text messaging, playing dice and board games with friends and just being there to lend a helping hand when needed.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the staff at Illini and Tara Wassell and Wendy Feifer who gave exceptional care and love to their mother and grandmother.
