Irma Baldwin

Irma Lena Baldwin, age 83, of Moline, died Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. Entombment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery and Mausoleum, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church, or Moline American Legion Auxiliary Unit #246.
Irma was born March 28, 1925 in Moline, the daughter of Armand J. and Eliza (Loontjens) Van de Moortel. She married Glendon J. Baldwin on January 11, 1947 at St. Anne's Catholic Church, East Moline. He preceded her in death on March 21, 2007
Irma graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School, Moline. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Irma was past president of the Moline American Legion Auxiliary Unit #246; 8 and 40 #137 Rock Island County; and a member of Center for Belgian Culture, Moline. Her hobbies included crocheting afghans, baking Belgian cookies, playing bingo, bowling, card club (500), and ceramics. Irma loved watching sports, including the Chicago Cubs, Bulls and Illini. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
