Isla was born on March 5, 2011, in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of Josh and Kayleigh (Zurcher) Galliart. Isla was a beautiful, vibrant teenage girl. You could always find her singing a tune, dancing to a beat, or with her nose in a book. She loved to write, and she completed her first novel just before her passing. Isla never shied away from being in the spotlight and on the big stage. She won the heart of everyone that knew her. She loved her people and cherished her quality time with them. Isla loved to hear the preaching of the word of God and looked forward to worshipping with her family at church on Sundays. She was a fighter who was fearless and spicy, qualities that helped her in her lifelong medical battles. Isla spent her final moments where she wanted to be - at home, in her bed, wearing her comfy clothes, and surrounded by all her loved ones.
Survivors include her loving parents, Josh and Kayleigh; siblings, Cora and Lincoln; maternal grandpa, Ed Zurcher; paternal grandparents, Mike and Beth Galliart and numerous family and friends too many to count.
Isla was preceded in death by her maternal grandma, Deanne Zurcher; maternal great grandparents, Ed and Nancy Zurcher; maternal great grandma, Sylvia Taets; paternal great grandpa, Dale Galliart; and her aunt Kara Galliart.
We grieve her loss and miss her greatly but know with confidence that she is with her beloved Savior, perfectly healed and perfectly joyful.
