Ivan B. Ericson

Ivan Burnell Ericson, 80, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away Saturday December 7, 2024, at his home.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday December 14, 2024, at the Greenview Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, East Moline, Illinois. Military honors will be conducted. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Ivan was born on April 18, 1944, in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of Ivan Belmont and Ferne M. (Kapple) Ericson. He was a U.S. Veteran, having served in the Air Force. Ivan married Sharon K. Anderson on June 12, 1976, in Rock Island. In 1999, after 35 years, Ivan retired from John Deere, where he was employed as a line supervisor. Ivan enjoyed tinkering with trains and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; children, John (Amy) Harland, Lisa (Donnie) Jones, Eugene Ericson; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Roger and sister, Beverly.
