Jack H. Dean, age 81, of Moline, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the home of his sister, Sally Carbis in Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00 -12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Pathway Hospice.
Jack was born December 3, 1925 in Pennsylvania, the son of George and Lila (Jeffery) Dean. He married Ellen E.Stolbon on February 20, 1967 in Rock Island. She preceded him in death on September 26, 2001.
Jack was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for over 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a Marine veteran who was proud of his service for his country. Jack was a generous and compassionate man who enjoyed helping others whenever they needed him. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
