Jackie Williams, 75, of Moline, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Ave., Moline. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his family.
Jackie was born April 1, 1936 in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Earl and Goldie Johnson Williams. He was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 27 years as a forklift operator in the warehouse, retiring on April 2, 1993.
Jackie loved to go on walks and hang out with his family, friends and neighbors. He had a special lifelong relationship with his sister Lowanda and her immediate family. For 25 years he shared his life with his girlfriend Sandee Cook of Rock Island and their dog Chloe. He lead a simple life but was an extraordinary, loving and generous person, devoting his whole life to them.
