Jacolyn Rae Mueller 85, of Taylor Ridge, IL, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Hope Creek Care Center, or to Prairieland Hospice Foundation.
Jacolyn was born on January 31, 1931, in DeKalb, IL, the daughter of John and Edna Harter Ippen. She married Albert Johnson on August 26, 1950, and later married Clifford Mueller on April 22, 1968, in Naples, FL. She worked as a loan officer for Mortgage Associates, Inc., in Moline, and for several other mortgage companies.
Jacolyn was a member of the Moline Order of Rainbow for Girls Mother’s Club and Moline Chapter 258, Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing Bridge and traveling. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her loving husband, Clifford; daughter, Jami (John) Melcher, Geneseo, IL; step daughters, Bonnie Berns, Las Vegas, NV, Joann (Bob) Heaton, Sarasota, FL, and Linda (Randy) Smith, Phoenix, AZ; step sons, Bryan (Mary) Mueller, Waterloo, IL, and David (Sharie) Mueller, Milwaukee, WI; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister, Kay Larson, Naples, FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Dana Johnson; sister, Carol Johnson.
