Jacqueline “Jackie” Bolk, 88, of Moline, passed away January 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday January 17, 2025, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday January 16, 2025, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Jackie was born on October 12, 1936, the daughter of Albert and Charlotte (Schorpp) Hartman. She married Jim Leach in 1960 and later married Bernard “Bernie” Bolk in August of 1999.
Jackie had previously been employed as an inventory systems manager with the Rock Island Arsenal. Jackie was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. She loved to volunteer with the church and in January of 1998, she went with a group on a mission trip to Bolivia and helped build a “habitat” home.
Dancing was among one of Jackie’s many hobbies and it played a big part in her life – ballroom, square dancing, line dancing, country western and clogging. She was a wonderful, hardworking and kind person who never complained. Jackie was a devoted matriarch, and her family will miss her dearly.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie; sons, Todd (Sara) Leach, Greg Leach; grandchildren, Joshua, Jake, Adam, Scarlett, Tosha, Noell, Allison, Taycee; 15 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Leach; and brother, Ron Hartman.
