James Appleman

January 11, 1970 — October 24, 2008

James Edward "Jimmy" Appleman, age 38, of Moline, died Friday, October 24, 2008, at home surrounded by his family, after a courageous year and a half battle with stomach cancer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Christ the King Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 2:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. A private family rosary will be held at an earlier time. Memorials may be made to the Jim Appleman Benefit.
Jim was born January 11, 1970 in Rock Island, the son of Jack and Julie (Morrissey) Appleman. He married his high school sweetheart Stacy Schmooke on July 22, 1989 at St Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Jimmy and Stacy were blessed with three beautiful daughters.
Jim was plant manager at Moline Forge, Inc. He coached ASA softball for 12 years. Jim also coached Girls Basketball at Alleman and United Township High Schools. He was the Alleman Girls assistant softball coach for many years. Jim loved to golf. He enjoyed going to Harris Pizza on Friday with "The Guys". Jim had a passion for life, for his friends, and for his family.

His beloved dog/granddaughter Faith.
