James W. Catour

James "Jim" W. Catour, 68 of Colona died suddenly on August 27, 2006 following a lingering illness, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Rite of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2006 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Dayton Cemetery, Colona. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona, Kidney Foundation or Colona Fire Department.
Jim was born October 1, 1937 in Moline to Wilbur and Ethel (Quillin) Catour. He married Bernadine Benda on June 11, 1960 in Pleasant Plain, IA.
Jim retired from John Deere Harvester as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and NASCAR fan. He loved going to the river and working in his yard. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
