James L. Gale, 82, of East Moline, IL, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis, IL.
Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there will be no Memorial Service. A visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Food Pantry.
James was born on February 17, 1931, in Marion, IN, the son of Frank and Thalia (Stillwell) Gale. He married Helen L. Nelson on April 10, 1954, in Madison, WI. He worked as a parts manager for White Motor Co. and Riverside International, retiring in 1996. James also worked at the food pantry. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a big Cubs and NASCAR fan. He loved traveling and took two cruises to Alaska.
