James Gittings

James (Jim) Gittings, 64 of Moline, Illinois, died Monday night April 24th at the Clarissa Cook Hospice House. Funeral services will be Friday, April 28th at First Covenant Church, Moline at 10:00 am. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27th from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline.  Burial will directly follow the service at Rose-Lawn Memorial Estate, Moline. Friends are invited to come to burial or can meet us for the Celebration of Life at First Covenant Church directly following the burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be to First Covenant Church, Moline.

James was born September 5, 1952 in Moline to Paul E. and Eleanor Hedberg Gittings. He worked at the Case International plant for 30+ years. He enjoyed life by going to concerts, local high school and professional football games.  He was a licensed phyrotechnician and enjoyed lighting up the skies.

Jim was a member of the First Covenant Church, Moline. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed fishing at his cabin in Minnesota.
