James A. Hill, 93, of Moline, IL, died Tuesday, June 21, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jim was born on November 27, 1922, in Moline, IL, the son of James C. and Florence Allen Hill. He married Marian Wendell and later married Ethel Ducket, who preceded him in death on May 11, 1990. He worked in administration for over 40 years for Moline Auto Sales and later retired from Learner’s in Rock Island.
Survivors include his long-time partner, Eleanor Jones; brother, Don Hill, Silvis, IL; nephew, Leonard VanOteghem, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ethel; and sister, Thelma Hunter.
