James Noal Murphy

James Noal Murphy, 81, of Moline, died November 6, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to service time, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #246, Moline. Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church.
James was born April 3, 1925 in Sullivan County, Missouri to James Roy and Mabel Roach Murphy. He married Margaret F. Glidewell on August 17, 1949 in Trenton, MO.
James was employed for 33 years at Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA) retiring in 1983 as a coordinator of sheet plate.
James was a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, East Moline where he served as an Elder. He belonged to the Retiree's Golf League and a member of the 25 year Club of ALCOA.
