James E. Pauletti, 77, of Orion, died Sunday, October 2, 2011, peacefully at his home.
Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402 10th Street, Orion, with a visitation one hour prior to services. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Western Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Jim's wishes were for memorials to be made to Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion Food Pantry or to Orion Ambulance Service. Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral home, Ltd., is assisting the family.
James was born May 13, 1934 in Centerville, IA, the son of Marion J. and Agnes Kruzich Pauletti. He married Mary Hartley on June 23, 1956 in Winterset, IA.
Jim was an U.S. Army Veteran serving as an air traffic controller. He retired from Deere & Co. on May 29, 1992 after 36 years. He was a member of Mary, Our Lady of Peace and a former member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Colona. Jim was a Junior Achievement Advisor, member of the N.A.A. and an Emeritus Life Associate of I.M.A.
