James Doyle White

James Doyle White, 94, of Moline, passed away, Monday, July 20, 2020, at Genesis Senior Living, Illini Restorative Care.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 25, 2020 at 9:00 am at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd. Moline.  Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Friday, July 24, 2020 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park.  Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island.  No more than 50 people will be allowed in at a time and face masks are required.

James was born on May 14, 1926, in Sikeston, MO, the son of Abe and Maude (Ward) White.  He married Frances E. Murdoch on October 25, 1952 in Rock Island she preceded him February 2005.  James married Lorraine Lobretto in Moline on May 12, 2008.  James worked for Farmal Rock Island for 33 years as a factory worker.  After retirement James continued as a janitor at the church for over 20 years.  He was a part of the First Church of the Nazarene, Rock Island where he would help fundraise as well as monitor attendance at the church.  James loved doing ceramics and won many awards for them.  He enjoyed plants and rocks.

Survivors include his wife; Lorraine, children; Stephen (Sharon) White, Casey, IL, Daniel (Leslee) Collins, Bettendorf, IA, Joyce Courter, Rock Island, IL, daughter-in-law; Suzie Collins, 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren and nephew; LaVerne (Cheri) White, FL.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Frances Murdoch, his parents, his son; Harold Collins Jr., brother; Calwyn White, 1 grandson, and 1 great granddaughter.
