Janet Lee Larson, 75, of Andover, died Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 17, 2010 at Andover Augustana Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 P.M., Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Burial will be at Swedona Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Janet's name for a fund to be established.
Janet was born on November 2, 1934 in Lynn Center to Arland E. and Martha Sandstedt Seabloom. She married Donald W. Larson on April 24, 1953 in Swedona. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2004.
Janet worked at the First National Bank as a teller and later as a nurses aid at Hammond Henry Hospital. She retired from the Rock Island Post Office in November of 1994. She was a member of Andover Augustana Lutheran Church. Janet was the former president of the LCW. She was a church council member and a member of the postal workers union. She was very active with her children as they were growing up. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and taking pictures. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
