Janet D. Mathias, 62, of Moline, IL, died Monday, October 21, 2013, at Unity Point Health - Trinity Moline, Moline, IL.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 27, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to her son, Eric Mathias, for a fund to be established for her grandson, Alex.
Janet was born on November 9, 1950, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Paul and Martha Mathias. She was a graduate of United Township High School Class of 1968. She worked at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL, regarding Supply Management.
Janet was a friendly and outgoing person who enjoyed helping others. She never met a stranger and was always focused on the good in people. Janet had a good sense of humor, a wonderful laugh, and was the life of the party. She could strike up a conversation with anyone. She adored her cat, Lexy, and deeply loved her son and grandson with all her heart. Janet was a fun and loving sister. She was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed.
