Janice Leona Bertram, age 72, of Davenport, IA, formerly of Moline, IL, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport, from complications from a fall earlier this month.
Per her wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Jan was born July 6, 1941, to Jack and Virginia Wisher (a firecracker for sure). She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Bertram, at the First Congressional Church on August 1, 1959.
Jan graduated from Moline High School in 1959. In her early years she worked at The Plantation and Grants. Bob and Jan were blessed with two children, Jeff and Ginny. She loved spending time with family, camping at the cabin on the Wapsi, playing euchre till the sun came up (and was a very good player), bingo, yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Jeff (Dru) Bertram of Coal Valley, IL; 3 grandchildren, Joni, Jesse and Heather; 4 great grandchildren; several cousins, nephews and nieces; her special niece, Sewellyn, that took loving care of her.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter, Virginia "Ginny"; her parents; and her sister, June.
