Janice Helen Nordstrom, 82, of Moline, IL, died suddenly at home on Sunday, September 11, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 15, 2016, at First Covenant Church, 3303 41st Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Private burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Estate. Memorials may be made to First Covenant Church Memorial Trust Fund.
Janice was born on August 30, 1934, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Milton and Helen Hagberg Liljegren. She married Roger David Nordstrom on April 20, 1957, in Moline, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2016.
Janice graduated from Moline High School in 1952 and attended North Park College in Chicago, IL. She was an active member of First Covenant Church of Moline, where she served in multiple capacities including coordinating the annual salad luncheon. She was also a member of PTA for Moline Schools, where she was awarded national life membership.
Survivors include her sons, Chuck (Therese) Nordstrom, Schaumburg, IL, Brad Nordstrom, Elmhurst, IL, and Greg (Lara) Nordstrom, Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Charles) Stineford, Jen (Sergio Gomez) Nordstrom, Matt Nordstrom, Benjamin Nordstrom, Jonathan Nordstrom, and Christian Nordstrom; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Kay Wessel.
